Hampden Clothing Coupon Code Knocks High Fashion To Lower Prices

Hampden Clothing is one my absolute favorite online shops, not only because its customer service department is always attentive and polite but also because of the diverse brands and styles it carries. After all, its roster includes ultra stylish labels like Thread Social, Doucette Duvall, Miss Davenporte, Alice Ritter, Alexander Wang, Vena Cava, Vanessa Barrantes, Minden Chan, Valentine, Charlotte Ronson, Sea, Elijah, Rachel Comey, and more. (Just try saying that five times fast.) And then there's the faux-fur, swing Doucette Duvall coat featured in September's Lucky Magazine plus many other pieces that have graced the pages of fashion glossies.

But now there is another reason to indulge in Hampden's fashion faire–a coupon code for 25% off! That means you'll look 100% as hot for 75% of the cost, a secret only you and the fashionistas at SheFinds have to know.

Use code "luckybreaks9" at checkout to receive your delicious discount.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces:
Doucette Duvall's perfect faux fur swing jacket ($540 originally, $405 with discount) goes anywhere. Throw it on with jeans, a white t-shirt, boho beads, and colorful heels to sport an electic but easy look. When going out, it adds a lovely vintage flare to any dress while protecting you from the winter cold.

ETHICALBELLA FASHION: Doucette Duvall Dress

I fell in love with this dress the second I laid my eyes on it - on the Doucette Duvall website. Produced in limited editions and hard to get, I finally discovered it at the XanderDash Studio in Tacoma, WA-which is not so much a boutique but a fashionable creation by stylist Rebecca Dashow who offers styling services and hosts invite-only pop-up shops. Stephanie of Doucette Duvall made the introduction and I couldn’t have been happier to find out that XanderDash had “Bridgette” ($418) exactly in my size and could send it to me immediately!

Doucette Duvall is one of those rare gems: wearable and flattering, elegant and sexy, each piece is fair trade made with amazing attention to detail (see the open back with a bow) and produced from overstock materials. Stephanie says she wants her dresses to be as memorable as the first kiss. I say her dresses are what I want to wear for that first kiss… and multitude of kisses after that. Call Rebecca to play the matchmaker:-)

Gilt Good and Green Sale, Curated by Lauren Bush

Happy Earth Day, everyone! Are you wearing your organic tees and turning off the lights when you leave the room? Wink, wink. Well, you should be doing that most days of the week, but today is def a great day to spread the "green" cheer. And Gilt.com is doing just that with the Good and Green Sale that starts at 12 p.m. EST today.

Scoop up accessories, beauty products, home decor and even Jetsetter packages (prices range from $50-200). No matter what you find, you'll rest easy knowing it's good - from organic and rescued materials to sustainable production methods. And model/fashion designer Lauren Bush (she's engaged to Ralph Lauren's son and granddaughter of the elder President Bush) is involved as a part of a Heroes tribute for her dedication to all things green, including the non-profit she founded called FEED Nature Fund. It supports areas affected by natural disaster by giving school meals to kids in these regions as well as planting trees through community programs. I just bought my first "FEED bag" last week and couldn't be more excited. It's a reusable bag (the "100" - which means I provided 100 school meals to kids with my purchase!) that I plan to not only take to the grocery store, but carry other places as well - it's organic, of course!

To give you an idea of some of the brands on sale, here they are:

(Brands curated by Lauren herself)

Feed, Lauren Pierce Atelier, KV5, Prosperity Candle, Nest , Same Sky, Clara Saldarriaga for Sur Evolution

(Other brands)

Doucette Duvall, Stewart + Brown, Loomstate, Pangea Organics, Matt & Nat, Maptote, Simple Shoes, Alex & Ani, Green Lullaby, Global Goods Partners

Happy Earth Day shopping, mwah! Xoxo

Rescued Style by Doucette Duvall

By Angela Christian

Doucette Duvall is a dress and coat line that was started Valentine’s Day 2005.  Their fanciful, yet timeless, pieces are all manufactured entirely in New York City’s historic garment district using pre-existing fabric and trim, shunning extraneous garment bags and hang tags, and shipping in recycled boxes only.

Doucette Duvall goes an even farther step by including a “little green dress” in each of their collections as a reminder of their commitment to Madame Earth. So cute! A portion of the proceeds from the “little green dress” are donated to the non-profit group, Build it Green. (For more info on that, check out: www.bignyc.org.)

On the Doucette Duvall website, they have a Q&A with the lead designer/founder, Stephanie Doucette.  When asked what sets them apart, she tastefully answers:

70%+ of the materials must be “rescued” (already produced)
dd pieces must be as memorable as a first kiss — for girls (and boys) — so that they get way more life than just a season or two
we essentially long to create trend-less, green beauties for dd girls everywhere.

When you look at the pieces, you can really see the extensive thought put behind them by the designers…little personal touches that make its rarity stand out.  For example, check out the back of this cute top ($76.80).  Amazing!

You can find Doucette Duvall in various Barneys locations, or try these online boutiques: Coco’s Shoppe; Fashion Conscience; and Kind.

I’m in love with DD’s unique look!  Check out this to-die-for leopard print dress from their Fall 2010 collection.

Happy Shopping!
